I’m not it

You’re used to be the sweetest piece of candy,
The most exotic gem, the brightest color.
You’re used to be you and I’m not used to that.
I simply cannot give you what I don’t have.

You expect a bit more of what you want,
But that’s a bit less of what I am.
You believe I’ll make it at your expectations,
But can’t comprehend I’m a different person.

We keep talking, but you don’t listen.
You keep looking, but you don’t see me.
How can you possibly know who am I?
How will you understand I’m not it?

How do you expect me to be truthful
When my whole reality is a blur?
I simply can’t tell you what I don’t know,
I can’t give you what I don’t have.
